Appointment as lieutenant representativePublic invited to official ceremony for Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume

The ceremony will begin with the official signing of the corresponding Grand Ducal decree at the palace, before the Hereditary Grand Duke will be sworn into his new role at the Chamber of Deputies.

He will then be accompanied by the Chamber president and the Prime Minister in welcoming the public at the Krautmaart.

Seats will be made available for members of the public in the Chamber of Deputies for the ceremony. In order to register, would-be guests are required to email the Chamber of Deputies with their name, address and phone number, on relations.publiques@chd.lu.

RTL will also broadcast the ceremony live.

Official information for the public

• Public session:
  Spaces are available for the public to observe the ceremony from inside the Chamber of Deputies; however, visibility from the stands is limited. The reception will be at the entrance on rue de l'Eau, on the side of the main building of the Hôtel de la Chambre, upon presentation of proof of identity. .
• On the “Krautmaart” / rue du Marché-aux-Herbes:
  After the ceremony, around 4pm, the public is cordially invited to come and greet the Hereditary Grand Duke, the President of the Chamber of Deputies and the Prime Minister.
