Care and retirement homesRoom visits permitted two weeks after second jab

RTL Today
COPAS, who represent care sector service providers, have issued their recommendations for the time after residents have received their second dose.

These are aligned with the recommendations from the ministry of health. Room visits are allowed 14 days after the second jab. Visitors will be asked to put down their contact information to enable contact tracing in case of new infections.

Before visiting a facility, one also receives an invitation for a PCR or an antigen test. Those remain option though. The maximum number of visitors as well as restaurant and café openings still depend on the legislation that is in force.

Care and retirement home residents who are fully vaccinated do not need to undergo a quarantine when they return to the premises. They will be asked to do so if they show Covid symptoms however.
