A blue Range Rover Sport SVR, registered in Luxembourg, is said to have been involved in an accident on the A1 motorway on 8 August at around 2.20pm. Police believe the incident occurred between the two exits of Flaxweiler and Potaschberg, in the direction of Germany.
The car crashed into the guardrails in circumstances that remain to be determined.
In the appeal for witnesses, the authorities state that the driver fled the scene before the emergency services arrived. The car was 'severely damaged' when the driver drove off.
