During speed checks in Differdange on Friday evening, the police found a driver speeding at 125 km/h, 55 km/h over the speed limit, around 11.00 pm on Friday. The man's license was confiscated on the spot.
In Hobscheid, a woman informed the police about an accident that occurred on Rue de Steinfort around 11.30 pm. When the police arrived at the scene, they found that the driver had collided with a cliff on the side of the road. Because he smelt of alcohol, the police carried out a breathalyser test, which came back positive. The man was taken to the police station as he started insulting the officers and refused to calm down. He spent the night under arrest.
A man started hitting himself, as well as a car, on Rue de la Tour Jacob in Grund around 8.50 pm on Saturday. The first police patrol at the scene required back-up. They finally managed to immobilise the man, who ended up having to spend the night in the drunk tank.
