The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps reported that no fewer than seven people were injured in road accidents after 5.30 pm on Tuesday.

At around 5.30 pm, a pedestrian was hit by a car on boulevard Charles Marx in Hollerich. Two people were injured in the accident.

At the same time, two cars collided between Limpach and Soleuvre, injuring one person in the process.

A further two cars collided on Avenue de Luxembourg in Bascharage at 6 pm, injuring one.

Just after 7 pm, a car and a motorbike were involved in a collision on Route d'Esch in Huncherange. One person sustained injuries.

At 8.15 pm, a further two cars crashed into each other on Avenue de la Faïencerie in Limpertsberg. One person was injured. Two cars collided on Place de Paris at 9.45 pm in Luxembourg City, with one person sustaining injuries in the process.

Firefighters from Hesperange had to respond to an incident in Itzig on Rue de Sandweiler after 8 pm, as a gas bottle caught fire.

At 9 pm, a garden house caught fire on Rue de Belval in Esch-sur-Alzette. Firefighters from Esch-sur-Alzette, Sanem-Differdange, and Schifflange were at the scene.
