
One person was caught shoplifting in a supermarket on Route de Thionville in Alzingen. The police were called and as the culprit turned out to be a repeat offender, who had been released on probation. The person was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office and presented to an examining magistrate on Wednesday morning.
At around 8.30pm, police were called to a private property in Pontpierre due to an individual exhibiting "suspicious behaviour". A couple of patrols searched for the culprit based on a description provided to them and were ultimately able to locate the suspect in rue de Luxembourg. Following a check, the officers seized various objects that had been stolen from an unlocked car stationed on the aforementioned property. The public prosecutor's office was informed and the culprit was fined.
