
On 13 January, officers arrested cocaine dealers at the train stations in Esch-sur-Alzette and in Luxembourg City. They confiscated 40 grams of the illegal substance, as well as mobile phones and cash.
The following day, a dealer was caught red-handed near Mersch, after investigations pointed towards the culprit's home for the location of illegal substances. 125 grams of cocaine and cash were seized from the house later.
During the night from Friday to Saturday, the police managed to arrest two presumed dealers from the Netherlands and one from the Grand Duchy in Bonnevoie. Even though one of the suspects tried to escape and hide from the officers, he was quickly apprehended after. 100 grams of cocaine were confiscated, as well as cash. A car registered in the Netherlands was also seized.
On Thursday, the police arrested three further drug dealers after a pedestrian alerted the officers to their activities in rue de Strasbourg in the Gare neighbourhood. Two of them were already facing charges on account of possession of illegal substances. The police seized 53 grams of marijuana from them, as well as cash and mobile phones.
