The local fire brigade was called out to Rue du Moulin in Esch-sur-Alzette at 8.30am after smoke began pouring from an apartment. No injuries were reported.
In Luxembourg City, a building façade began emitting smoke on Place de la Gare. It was reported that the smoke was coming from a pipe fixed at around 2.5 metres high. Local fire fighters were joined by teams from Hesperange and Mamer in tackling the incident. Again, no one was injured, but the operation was reported to have disrupted traffic in the area, according to the ACL.
