On Saturday night it already started snowing in the Oesling.
Throughout Sunday there have been extended periods of precipitation, either in the form of snow or sleet.
Prevailing conditions mean snow or sleet can occur between 200 and 300 metres.
Between 300 and 400 metres people should expect wintery conditions on the roads.
Meteolux, the national meteorological service, has issued a yellow weather warning for Sunday. In some areas there could be more than 10 centimetres of snow.
Winter has truly come. Wind gusts could reach between 60 and 70 kilometres per hour, with temperatures reaching a maximum of around 3°C.

For Monday, more sleet and snow showers are expected. Temperatures could rise to 4°C in the Moselle region, but will be at around 0°C in the Oesling.
This will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday, with temperatures hovering around 3°C.
