Around 7.30pm, a speeding driver caught the attention of a police patrol as he was traveling towards the centre of Luxembourg City. The driver narrowly avoided a collision with a bus by swerving his vehicle to the left and entering the opposite lane.

Police pulled the reckless driver over and found that he had been drinking before getting behind the wheel. The driver was neither in possession of a valid license nor did he have car insurance.

The public prosecutor's office ordered the vehicle be seized. Police also issued a driving ban.

Other drunk drivers kept police busy

Police caught another drunk driver heavily swerving on Rue Principale in Wilwerdange on Tuesday evening around 10.30 pm. Police suspended the driver's license.

Same story, different location: police pulled over another intoxicated driver in the Gare neighbourhood of Luxembourg City shortly after midnight.
