At 12.50 p.m., the airport tower alerted the police that a private sports aeroplane was forced to make an emergency landing in a field near Boulaide.
The pilot, who was alone on board at the time, was able to get his plane down quickly and safely after noticing an issue with the engine. Nobody suffered any injuries during the landing.
Both police and firefighters were deployed to the scene to provide assistance after the landing.
