Luxembourg's emergency services were kept busy by a flurry of accidents on Thursday.

A stable caught fire around 8pm in Heiderscheid, necessitating the intervention of six fire fighter centres: Ettelbruck, Clervaux, Wiltz, Alebësch, Feulen and Grevels. The fire was quickly brought under control.

Four people were injured on the Grand Duchy's roads on Thursday evening after three separate incidents in which motorists collided with trees.

The accidents took place in Wincrange, and between Wilwerdange and Wemperhardt. Finally, another accident took place on the A6, where a car struck the barrier between the lanes.

Earlier on Thursday, more than 50 accidents took place due to the inclement weather. Weather warnings are still in place in the north of the country throughout Friday. Vigilance on the roads is encouraged.
