Last weekend, Köln celebrated Christopher Street Day, promoting acceptance towards homosexual, bisexual and transgender people. In Luxembourg, Esch put on a similar event this weekend, the Street Fest - a bright and colourful conclusion to Pride Week.
A whole week of events, films, meetings, previews and fests, providing positive results yet again. Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel gave an emotional speech at the start of the festivities.
But some students of the Lycée Technique de Bonnevoie seek to promote acceptance and equality on a regular basis, not just as part of Pride. They gave a presentation, looking to inform and educate their fellow pupils on the importance of tolerance. Alongside video clips and a quiz, they were also joined by members of the public, who were happy to take questions from the assembled students.
