
On early Friday morning, a burglar was caught red-handed in Wilwerwiltz. After being interrupted during an initial break-in attempt, the suspect tried to force their way into a second home.
At around 2.30am on Friday, police were alerted to the incident. The culprit had shone a torch into a single-family home in the Cité Penscherbierg neighbourhood, where they were spotted by a resident and fled the scene.
Officers were despatched immediately. On Am Duerf street, they noticed a smashed window at a house. Inside, they found the alleged burglar.
A subsequent search revealed that the suspect was carrying tools and cash. The individual was arrested and was due to appear before an examining magistrate.
