The former director of the Institute for European and International Studies had been criticised for remarks made on the program "Background" two years ago. Former hunters' spokesperson Marc Glesener and another hunter filed a complaint together.
The two complainants considered that the comments made on the program had damaged hunter's image honour. He is said to have repeatedly claimed that the hunters were "animal killers" who kill intentionally.
These comments prompted the two men to each claim €2,500 euros in damages. Armand Clesse will have to pay a symbolic €100 fine for damages to the two hunters.
