The client was dropped off in Hassel around 5.20am, but then displayed aggressive behaviour towards the taxi driver, swearing and attempting to damage the vehicle. He then physically attacked the taxi driver after the latter attempted to defuse the situation.

A police officer on his way to work happened to witness the incident and immobilised the perpetrator, who had attempted to get behind the wheel of the car and drive away. He was promptly arrested.

Aggression in Luxembourg City

Police were forced to intervene several times during the night from Friday to Saturday.

Around 8.15pm, one person tried to hit another in a café located on Avenue de la Gare after a beer spillage. The aggressive individual was placed in a sobering-up cell and fined for, among other things, possession of marijuana.

Shortly before midnight, another establishment in the station district was the scene of a fight between two men. When the police arrived, one of them was shirtless and the other had his shirt completely torn. The two individuals were also taken to a sobering-up cell.

At around 5am,  Avenue de la Gare once again played host to violence after a fight between a group of people broke out in a fast-food restaurant, which was immediately evacuated. One of the brawlers was stopped by police after causing a commotion outside, and was found to be carrying cocaine.

Finally, a big argument broke out at the Bouillon car park around 6am. One person was injured and required medical care on the spot.
