A crane carried the 160 metric tonnes of infrastructure before installation. The bridge was commissioned from a company in Wales and was delivered to the Grand Duchy in individual pieces.

Over the past two months, the bridge then got reassembled so that it can be installed above the train tracks between Colmar-Berg and Ettelbruck. The first cars are expected to cross the bridge by mid-March.

The provisional bridge will replace a piece of infrastructure that dates back to the 1960s. The old bridge will be dismantled over the Easter holidays and replaced by a new and final version, which is expected to open in Autumn 2023.
