Preliminary reviewThe crisis has been fought off quite well thus far: COPAS

RTL Today
COPAS, who represents care sector service providers, issued a press release on Monday, elaborating on the past handling of the health crisis.

Out of 6,000 people living in retirement and nursing homes, 313 have thus far contracted Covid-19. While the association concludes that the most severe potential repercussions of the crisis have been fought off efficiently, it also regrets the deaths of 65 people who lived in one of their facilities.

COPAS underlines that the cooperation with the ministry of health and the ministry for family affairs had been formidable since the beginning of the outbreak. The association feels that their concerns were always heard and that adaptations were made quickly when problems arose. For instance, prior to the health crisis, the facilities were limited in their capacity to stock certain drugs, which has now been extended to minimise the contact between interior and exterior agents.
