The CSV–DP coalition was subjected to strong criticism at the event. Speakers described it as a government of “cold hearts” that at times does not seem far removed from right-wing populists.
In particular, the war in Iran is causing concern, and speakers said the government is failing to clearly and firmly stand behind international law. Equally, the government’s handling of refugees was criticised.
Regarding sustainability, the Greens argued that promises are not being kept: the government is focusing only on the economy; yet the economy is not performing well either.
