
Batolomeo noted that the chamber of deputies would need to be able to make quick legal adaptations if the situation were to change.
The LSAP politician emphasised that the COVID-19 laws, which will transfer power of authority back to the chamber, could still be subject to last minute adaptations. He further noted that the laws in question would only be valid for a month.
Di Bartolomeo also used the occasion to comment on the recent criticism from the opposition that portrayed the administration's actions as disproportionate. He underlined that in his view cooperation had been great and that all involved parties had contributed their share.
When it comes to the much-discussed notion of enforced hospitalisation, Di Bartolomeo confirmed that concerned people would have the possibility of appealing the decision, an option which will be included in the new laws.
The vote on the COVID-19 laws will be held on Monday.
