In the early hours of Wednesday morning, numerous properties in Bourscheid were targeted by burglars. Initial reports say two intruders gained access to multiple houses, but were caught at the scene by a police patrol. The individuals were arrested and brought before an investigative judge. Arrest warrants were issued for both men.

In Strassen, a burglar was caught in the act by the police after a break-in was reported on Route d'Arlon. The man was still inside the property when police arrived, and refused to cooperate with the officers, spitting at them when they tried to make him leave. As a result, he was handcuffed and made to wear a spit guard. His behaviour did not improve when brought to the police station, where he was arrested by order of the public prosecutor's office. A search revealed a number of stolen items, which were later returned to their rightful owners.

A forensic team examined the property and an investigation was opened.

On Wednesday night, another robbery occurred in Troisvierges, where an intruder broke into a property on Grand-Rue and stole several mobile phones and a laptop.

The intruder was disturbed by a resident during the incident and promptly fled the scene. Although the authorities conducted a search, it yielded no results. An investigation has been launched.
