
Police were called to Rue du Centre in Kehlen on Tuesday after a motorist parked his car illegally. It transpired he had consumed too much alcohol, with a breathalyser test proving he was over the limit. Officers seized the car.
Elsewhere in Differdange, a verbal altercation took place between two pedestrians and a driver on Rue Emile Mark at around 8pm on Tuesday. The motorist drove off and almost knocked down one of the the pedestrians on Rue John Ernest Dolibois. The latter suffered injuries in the process. A fight then broke out between all three men. Officers at the scene established that the driver's blood alcohol levels exceeded 1.2%. He was cautioned and fined as a result.
Finally, during a check on Rue de Remich in Sandweiler, a police patrol pulled over a motorist suspected of driving under the influence of drugs. The drug test was positive, and a search of the vehicle yielded 13 grams of marijuana, as well as two grinders. The items were confiscated and the man was cautioned.
