According to reports, the inmate threw a shoe at one prison officer, injuring them, while the other two guards were hurt while trying to immobilise the perpetrator.
The Association of Prison Officers of Luxembourg (AAP) expressed concern at the incident and once again sought to highlight the risks faced by its members on a daily basis. The AAP said the authorities must make the necessary resources available so that prison guards can carry out their jobs without fearing for their personal security or becoming victims of daily violence.
