In a statement released by the Public Transport Administration, it is specified that the school network has been increasingly removed from the regular network in order to “adapt to the mobility needs of students”. To account for the “increasingly individualised” journeys of students, routes have been created to serve schools or school campuses located outside the regular network. In addition, specific lines have been set up that operate only during the school year.
As the organisation of the school routes for the start of the 2022 school year is still in the planning phase, the new timetables will be available in mid-August on www.mobiliteit.lu. A table comparing the old and new school line numbers will be available, as well as all the school line timetables for the start of the school year in September 2022.
