Tommy Klein is leaving the Pirate Party after just three years. Since 2023, he has served as the party’s political adviser. It is not yet clear who will replace him in the role, the party said in response to an inquiry.

As the next step in his career, Klein will become a manager in the External Affairs department at Philip Morris International. Before joining the Pirate Party, he worked at the polling institute ILRES for ten years, including one and a half years as director.

At the 2023 parliamentary elections, Tommy Klein finished seventh on his party’s list in the central constituency, with around 12,000 fewer votes than the only candidate elected there, Pirate MP Sven Clement.
