In Luxembourg:

• Confirmed cases of coronavirus increased by 190 to 2,178, as the number of deaths rose to 23.

• The Ministry of Health introduced new guidelines, recommending that even people displaying mild symptoms should be tested for coronavirus.

• Police reported 150 infractions of the government's travel restrictions over the weekend.

• Many restaurants, cafés and bars have had their rent waived by landlords, as Luxembourg's tax return deadline was extended to 30 June.

• Emergency healthcare centres have seen to almost 2,000 patients in the Grand Duchy, while there are no reported shortages of medication. 

• Employees of the National Health Laboratory have become 'COVID-19 fighters', as steel giant ArcelorMittal has started to develop 3D printed ventilator prototypes.  

In Tuesday's international developments:

• Global coronavirus cases have passed 800,000 and now stand at 809,608 with 39,545 deaths and 172,869 recoveries. You can find more detailed statistics here.

• Italy flew flags at half-mast on Tuesday to mark the 11,500+ lives lost during the crisis so far, as US President Donald Trump promised to send the Mediterranean nation $100 million of medical supplies.

• Campaigners urged Russia to empty its overcrowded prisons to avert an explosion in cases, after the country's top coronavirus doctortested positive.

• Researchers have found that China's lockdown of Wuhan may have blocked up to 700,000 cases, as the virus-stricken city tries to return to normality.

• A religious gathering in New Delhi, India is thought to have resulted in thousands of infections, while Australians have been told to stop panic-buying alcohol.
  

• There are still some isolated countries that have not reported any cases of the new disease - although the number is dwindling.
