A pedestrian in Bonnevoie was targeted by two muggers at 8.40am on Thursday morning. The suspects confronted the victim on Rue des Gaulois and stole a necklace. A police search for the two suspects proved fruitless; an investigation is now ongoing.
In Ettelbruck, a person was attacked by two people on Rue Prince Henri at around 12.45pm on Wednesday. One of the muggers took cash from the victim and threatened him with a screwdriver when the latter tried to fight back. Both suspects then escaped on a scooter.
Police later caught up with one of the attackers on Wednesday evening, who was arrested by order of the Diekirch prosecutor and appeared before magistrates on Thursday. The second mugger was arrested on Thursday morning.
