
Police confiscated a number of licences on Saturday night and early on Sunday morning.
At 7.30pm a woman reported seeing a car driving erratically on Boulevard Royal in Luxembourg City. According to police reports, officers carried out a breathalyser test after stopping the female driver in question - she was found to be two times over the limit, and had her licence confiscated.
The same fate befell a cyclist passing through Lorentzweiler at 1am, catching the attention of police as he was cycling without a light and seemed unable to ride in a straight line. He was also found to be twice over the limit and received a cycle ban.
At 4am, police were notified of an incident in Machtum, in rue de Donven, where a man had driven his car through a fence. Officers on the scene found him to be under the influence, and removed his licence as well as the car.
