At around 5pm on Wednesday, an accident occurred on the CR130 between Burglinster and Altlinster. A van driver lost control over their vehicle, hit a tree, and finally crashed into the road embankment. A subsequent alcohol test came back positive. Police confiscated the driver's licence on the spot and issued a temporary driving ban.

Police also pulled over a car on the N31 between Bettembourg and Dudelange at around 1.40am, as they suspected its driver to be inebriated. After taking a breathalyser test, the driver did turn out to be heavily intoxicated. The officers confiscated the driving licence on the spot and issued a temporary driving ban.
