Around 9.30 pm, the police were alerted to a reckless driver on the A1 motorway travelling in the direction of Luxembourg City. Apparently, the man in question drove in zig-zag-pattern while also being significantly below the speed limit, yet still crashed his vehicle into a lamppost. He decided to continue driving after a brief stop, but was eventually stopped by a police patrol when leaving the motorway. Since the alcohol test came back positive, his license was revoked and a provisional driving ban was issued.
The second incident occurred shortly before midnight, as a driver was caught speeding on the A7 motorway: 158 instead of 90 km/h. The car was stopped by the police, and both flash tests for alcohol and illegal substances came back positive. The man was then taken to the hospital for a blood test. His license was revoked and a provisional driving ban was issued.
