Two fawns have been saved from death in northern Luxembourg. The non-profit organisation 'Sauvons Bambi Luxembourg' used the occasion to remind the public of the service it offers.
According to a Facebook post by the non-profit, the two fawns were the first to be rescued from mowers in northern Luxembourg in 2026.
During this time of year, it often happens that fawns die when farmers use mowing machinery in their fields. To prevent this, "Sauvons Bambi Luxembourg" flies a drone equipped with a thermal camera over fields to locate and rescue fawns lying in the grass.
Field or meadow owners who wish to have their land checked can submit a request on the non-profit's website. Contact can also be made via WhatsApp, text message, or phone call at +352 621 390 757, or via email at contact@sauvonsbambi.lu.
