Nobody was injured in either case. Firefighters from Lorentzweiler, Lintgen, and Nideranven were at the scene to control the flames.
According to the police report, the fire in Lorentzweiler was caused by four youths who had camped in the area overnight. They started a campfire on Saturday evening, but told police they had extinguished it during the night; however, the flames caught again on Sunday morning. All four people were fined.
Another fire had already erupted the night before at a garden shed in Dommeldange. Nobody was injured in this case either.
