Two additional flights carrying passengers repatriated from the Middle East are scheduled to land in Luxembourg on Friday, marking the third and fourth such operations since the outbreak of war in the region.

The first of the two is a Luxair flight originating from Muscat, Oman, which made an intermediary stop in Hurghada, Egypt. The aircraft departed from Hurghada shortly before 7am on Friday morning and is expected to land at Findel Airport around 11am.

According to confirmation from the relevant Luxembourgish ministries, the flight is carrying 181 passengers, including three babies and 12 children.

Military aircraft to transport 200 passengers

A second repatriation operation is planned for Friday evening, this time utilising a military aircraft from the Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) fleet. The plane is expected to transport approximately 200 people.

The aircraft has reportedly already landed in Muscat, Oman, and is anticipated to depart over the course of Friday morning before heading to Luxembourg.
