The minister declares his satisfaction with previous reforms that seem to be having a positive impact on the daily lives of both students and teachers. This, in any case, was what Claude Meisch shared at the annual press conference that precedes the beginning of the academic school year.

At the same time, he also introduced the new measures that will come into effect at the start of the new year: several new courses are available, and students who follow a vocational training course are now to be marked out of 60 points in addition to a skills assessment.

Meanwhile, it seems that the problem of under-staffing among teachers has been resolved: all posts have been filled this year. This is because recruitment has opened its doors to individuals with a Bachelor's degree in something other than education or career changers able to adapt to the educational framework.

The minister admits that this is relatively recent development and new method but has proved to find good teachers, who, despite having different professional experience, have shown the ability to integrate themselves fantastically.
