At the end of August, 18,525 residents were registered at the Agency, meaning there were 1,232 fewer applicants than at the end of July.
Nevertheless, the August unemployment rate only decreased by 0.2% compared to July: from 6.6% to 6.4%.

In comparison with 2019, this rate equals a 20% increase. Between April and July of 2020, the elevated tally mostly stood out due to the limitation in potential job offers.
