STATECUnemployment rate falls to 5.6%

The latest figure constitutes an increase of 405 registered job seekers since the previous conducted in June of this year. Compared to last year (2020), this year's figure marks a 15% or 2,955 person decrease in registered job seekers.

In July of 2020, the Luxembourgish labor market was still heavily impacted by both the health crisis and quarantine measures, resulting in an annual increase of 26,1% more residents registering as job seekers. This year's decline in job seekers can therefore be seen as a positive response to the improving health crisis. STATEC has reported the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate at 5.6%, continuing its decline from previous months.
