The union for government employees released a statement warning of potential issues resulting from an overly hasty return to the ordinary. Clear and concise safety regulations are expected to be put into place, if employees are expected to pick up their standard hours.
The CGFP emphasised that especially social distancing should be rendered possible inside all public institutions, be that administrative offices or schools. However, most of said buildings lack the necessary capacity for such a restructuring process. Another point of concern for the union lies in the supply of masks and disinfectants.
People working in government and considered vulnerable should moreover be allowed to continue remote work from home.
The union also criticised the government's decision to first turn to private consulting agencies before discussing their exit plans with employer representatives.
