The variable interest rate on mortgage loans reached 1.41% in January 2020, while the volume of loans decreased at the same time by 119 million euros to 190 million.

Also in January, the fixed rate on mortgage loans amounted to 1.37%, while the volume of newly granted loans decreased by 111 million euros to 441 million euros.
These figures were released on Monday by the Central Bank of Luxembourg.
