Weather & TrafficWednesday 26 February - Yellow warning: slushy snowfall and slippery roads

RTL Today
A generally wet day floating between rain and snow. Careful on the roads all day.
We wanted to find a picture of wet socks for this article, but that proved more difficult than you'd imagine. At least without breaking copyright laws.. so we opted for this 'ard looking man in the rain instead.

Meteolux have indicated that Wednesday will be a cold, wet and slippery day. The day kicks off with a chilling -1 to 1°C in the morning, accompanied by harsh 50 km/h wind gusts and slushy snow. Not a great start.

Come afternoon, temperatures rise minimally to between 2 to 4°C, but precipitation remains throughout the day. There is occasional sunlight, but that won't scare the droplets away. Temperatures drop back down to around freezing point in the evening and during the night.

Traffic checks

Four checks have been announced for this Wednesday, all in the morning:
  • Rue BelleVue in Bereldange;
  • Rue Principale in Hagen;
  • Boulvard Petrusse in Luxembourg City;
  • CR 306 in Schweich.

Safe travels!
