Water authorities listed a number of bathing spots that will not be accessible to the public until further notice as a result of cyanobacteria, also known as blue algae.
Remerschen and 'Rommwiss' beach on the Upper Sûre Lake are both included on the list, as high algae levels can cause serious health problems for both humans and animals.
However, Weiswampach lake and the other beaches on the Upper Sûre will be open to swimmers. Enjoy!
