PoliceWitnesses sought after cash machine damaged in Pommerloch

Early on Saturday morning, unknown individuals damaged a BGL cash machine on route de Bastogne in Pommerloch.

The incident occurred around 2am. Police have issued an appeal for witnesses to contact 113 with any information on the perpetrators or vehicles used.

Thief captured after kiosk break-in

Passersby notified police after witnessing a break-in at 2.30am on Friday. The thief stole alcohol and a laptop from the kiosk on Rue de Bonnevoie in the capital.

With the witnesses' help, police were able to stop the perpetrator on Avenue de la Liberté. The stolen items were returned to their owner and the man will face an investigating judge by order of the prosecutor's office.

Young man mugged in Diekirch

Police also reported a mugging which took place on Avenue de la Gare in Diekirch on Friday. A young man was approached by a group of four, who asked if he could help them exchange money. The group absconded with the victim's cash, but then returned to attack him physically. Two witnesses intervened to stop the assault, while the four muggers escaped shortly afterwards.
