
The woman caught the man at around 7.20 am on Thursday. The man accessed the building on Rue Duchscher through the open cellar door, which was open as the homeowner was in the cellar at the time. The woman surprised the man and reacted instantly to defend herself. The man fled the scene with scratches on his face and a bite wound on his hand.
The man had a triangular towel covering his face and was dressed in black. The description details his height as 1.80 metres and he is believed to be of southern origins.
The police led a search to find the man, but were unsuccessful. The homeowner was taken to hospital for a check-up.
