The accident took place on a construction site on Rue John L. Macadam on Wednesday morning. According to the authorities, the worker sustained life-endangering injuries.
The incident occurred while the worker was operating a rock crushing machine. His lower body was hit by the machine and one leg was seriously wounded. An emergency medic provided first aid before the victim was rushed to the hospital.
The Inspectorate of Labour and Mines and the police were at the scene. An investigation has been launched.
