The meteorological station, based in Findel, warned that light snow and freezing rain could lead to poor conditions on the Grand Duchy’s road until Friday morning.
The alert itself is valid from 10am to 4pm in the entire country.
It’s also set to be windy, with gusts of up to 50 km/h throughout the day.
The weather event will approach from the north-east and pass beyond Luxembourg’s borders by the evening.
Neighbouring France has also issued a yellow alert for freezing rain across 26 départements, including the whole Grand Est region.
