Time to dig out the raincoat and dust off the wellies - thunderstorms are forecast across the Grand Duchy on Saturday as the heatwave comes to an end.
Expect heavy rainfall and dramatic skies, with temperatures falling to 20 degrees over the weekend.
On Thursday MeteoLux measured record highs of 39 degrees in Findel and 40.8 degrees in Steinsel. They also reported the highest minimal temperature since 1947, at 24.3 degrees, shortly before 6am on Thursday.
