Each year, the gathering of German-speaking finance ministers is organised by one of the participating countries. The Grand Duchy last hosted the annual gathering in 2019.
This year, Minister of Finance Yuriko Backes, along with ministers from Germany, Austria, and Lichtenstein were invited to gather together in Eschenz, Switzerland from 22 to the 23 of August.
The talks among ministers are expected to revolve predominantly around the war in Ukraine and the economic consequences of the conflict. Additionally, discussions on international tax issues may take place.
