Grand-ducal CourtYves Arend takes over as marshall of the court

RTL Today
With Yuriko Backes moving into government as new finance minister, her previous post has now been filled - at least as an interim function.

While Yves Arend will only be taking over the tasks as “acting” marshall of the court, it is expected he will not be replaced that soon. He has been director of Mrs Backes’ office for a year.

Previously, he had been employed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was the country’s youngest mayor when he was elected for the CSV in Clervaux in 2007.

Thus the Management Committe of the grand-ducal court, which has only existed since autumn 2020, will now be presided by Arend. Further members are Marc Baltes as advisor to the Grand Duke, Gilio Fonck who is responsible for staffing and finances, and Robert Kohnen, responsible for security and organisation
