Arno Bache was unanimously appointed as the new president of 'Stëmm vun der Strooss' by the organisation's board on Friday, after André Dübbers stepped down from all his functions and withdrew completely from the association.
According to reporting by Radio 100,7, internal differences within the organisation reportedly led to this unexpected change in leadership.
Bache, who was born in Clervaux and is aged 68, is a retired doctor.
He has been involved with the 'Dokter Stëmm' initiative for several years.
