Amazon fails to meet overtime record requirements under Luxembourg labour law

Eight formal complaints have been filed with the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines (ITM) concerning Amazon's operations in Luxembourg, the Minister confirmed. The ITM is actively investigating these allegations to determine the extent of any violations.

Authorities have reminded that even Luxembourg’s largest private employer is required to adhere fully to the country’s labour legislation.

Amazon has already been instructed to bring its practices, specifically concerning overtime record-keeping, into compliance. This was communicated to the company during a meeting with the Ministry of Labour.

Minister Marc Spautz expects to be able to update the Chamber of Deputies on the findings of the investigation before the upcoming holiday period.
