The Musel Pikes lost against Amicale and have to enter the play-offs.

In the women’s group, Etzella Ettelbrück has managed to secure the last place in the top group.

It was all about the 6th slot on the last game day of the qualifying rounds in the men’s league and it was nail biter until the last second.

Sparta Bertrange managed to secure their place, victorious in their game against T71 Diddeleng 85:70. The profited from Musel Pikes losing a very close encounter against the current champions Steinsel.

Musel Pikes fought until the last second. They led a good first quarter where they were ahead 21:17, but in the second quarter, Steesel pulled ahead. The Pikes managed to keep in touching distance though and stayed close contention in the second half.

As the end of the match drew near, it started to get really exciting.

The Pikes were so close behind the champions and had the chance to turn the game once again to their advantage.

In the end it was very close but they did not manage to turn it around, and Steesel won the game with a two point advantage (78:76).

Sparta on the other hand had the game against T71 Diddeleng in their grasp.

Even though T71 really put the pressure on towards the end of the game, Sparta still deservedly won.
In the Ladies league it was also still unclear who would be joining T71 Diddeleng, Amicale Steesel, AB Contern, Musel Pikes and Gréngewald in the Titelgroup.

Basket Esch and Etzella fought for the last place in the Titelgroup. Etzella was not able to take matters into their own hands however, but rather had to hope for a victory by the defeat of Basket Esch.

In the end that is exactly what it came down to. The Ladies from Ettelbrück won 85:72 against AB Contern and Basket Esch lost with 75:83 against Gréngewald.

So Etzella can now go forth and continue the fight for the title.
